Oweis Engineering Inc. (OEI) was retainied by Thornton-Tomasetti Engineers (TTE) to provide geotechnical evaluation for the proposed construction of a 65-story and 96 story office and hotel tower in the City of Moscow, Russia. OEI Services included: Developed a design soil/rock analytical profile. Design of drill shafts, reducing the length of sockets and controlling necessity of grouting in limestone. Developed construction specifications. Analyzed mat-shaft-drilled shaft interaction using extensive 3-D Finite Element Method (FEM).
