Oweis Engineering Inc. (OEI) was retained by Thornton-Tomasetti Engineers (TTE) to provide geotechnical evaluation, investigation and analysis for the proposed construction of a new ten-story structure and parking garage for the Isabella Geriatric Center in NYC. OEI services included:

• Collection and review of geological and geotechnical data.

• Performed a Subsurface Exploration Program.

• Conducted a laboratory testing program.

• Performed engineering analysis for the design and construction of proposed foundations.

• Prepared an engineering report including recommendations for allowable bearing capacity of shallow foundations on rock, blasting specifications and seismic design criteria.
