Oweis Engineering performed several geotechnical investigations throughout 6 sections of La Mer residential development and conducted construction quality control services during earthwork operations for the new residential townhome and apartment buildings as well as retaining walls, clubhouses, pools and recreational courts. Recommendations for various buildings included excavations of unsuitable fill material and replacement with structural fill for support of shallow foundations as well as recommendations and quality control inspection of stone piers in building footprints located in fill areas in excess of 25ft deep.
