Oweis Engineering Inc. (OEI) was retained by Kaplan Companies to conduct a geotechnical investigation for the proposed Towne Lake West Residential Development consisting of single family homes and retaining walls. OEI conducted a geotechnical evaluation and provided recommendations for site stabilization for shallow foundation support. Recommendations for various parts of the site included excavation of unsuitable fill and replacement with structural fill and/or preload and surcharge. OEI also conducted quality control services during construction.
